With the theme of “Embracing the Digital Age and Building a Zero Carbon Future Together”, 2022 CIIE-China International Economics and Technology Administration Summit (hereinafter referred to as the Summit) was held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) on November 8. It was co-sponsored by China Soft Capital Management Group Co., LTD. and Council for International Economic and Technology Administration, Beijing, and co-organized by CNF 50 Forum, Beijing CSC Science & Technology Development Foundation, NaaS, Ali Cloud, etc. As one of the few summits held at the CIIE, it shows the vitality of China’s economic progress, and the social responsibilities of the government, enterprises and scientific research institutions brave to assume in tackling climate change. Over 5 million people watched the Summit online at the same time.

The year 2022 saw the fifth session of the CIIE. As one of the three major expos showcasing China’s high-level opening-up, it highlights China as a major country and provide a brand-new stage for global connectivity and the community with a shared future for mankind. General Secretary Xi Jinping stressed in his report to the 20th CPC National Congress that “China is committed to its fundamental national policy of opening up to the outside world and pursues a mutually beneficial strategy of opening up. It strives to create new opportunities for the world with its own development and to contribute its share to building an open global economy that delivers greater benefits to all peoples.” As the first major international expo held after the 20th CPC National Congress, the CIIE has achieved fruitful and remarkable results.

This Summit gathered ambassadors from various countries, government leaders, experts and entrepreneurs to explore, based on the opportunities and challenges facing digital transformation, the possibilities of digitally empowered carbon neutrality. At the same time, together with the guests present, we will discuss the new pattern of green, digital, high-tech and efficient world economy on the premise of cooperation, openness and exchange.
