On October 27 2016, Beijing Chinasoft Science & Technology Development Foundation (“the Foundation”) joined Beijing Rainbow Foundation in visiting Changping Nanqijia School for the annual exchange event. HwaSmart team members were invited as special guests to bring a pro-bono science and technology course to the fifth grade classroom. The course seeks to create an atmosphere of learning, loving, and applying science, and to stimulate students’ scientific spirit of innovation and practice. The course will last for a year and open up the window of science to the students. In the classroom, teachers explain knowledge points vividly, and lead students to put learning into practice. Students can accurately locate their school on a map from building a small “theodolite” given positioning information. They are so excited about their new discovery. The purpose of this pro-bono science promotion event is to open the students’ scientific lens and motivate them to explore the world. The Foundation was set up in 2015 with the mission of “promoting science and technology education, and driving sustainable development.” The Foundation is devoted to building the young people’s science and technology education platform and integrating resources. The Foundation has been working with Beijing Rainbow Foundation to promote numerous pro-bono education events, sponsor students in need, and improve the education environment.
